The Hattie McCallie Missionary Closet ministry

The Hattie McCallie Missionary Closet is a ministry of World Missions that is carried out by volunteers serving on the Missionary Closet Committee.  The goal of this ministry is to provide quality clothing for furloughing missionaries and other qualifying mission enterprises.

Mrs. McCallie—a dedicated woman of God who loved the Lord and was committed to overseas ministry—began taking clothes from her own closet to share with missionaries at a missions conference in Montreat, North Carolina.  Her example has led to a tradition at First Presbyterian Church that has become a vital part of our women’s outreach of love and care for our missionary family.
